Cygames announced on social media that it is now possible to preload download the client for Umamusume: Pretty Derby on PC via Steam, Android devices via Google Play, and Apple iOS devices via App Store. This is ahead of the full debut on June 26, 2025. There are also two concert short videos of “Make Debut” and “Winning the Soul” ahead of the launch to celebrate the global release, and new trailers introduced Gold Ship, Mayano Top Gun, and Super Creek.
In terms of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby preload, the download is available for all devices. Depending on your region, it might be possible to start playing later on the evening of June 25, 2025. Cygames did note that Android 16 devices might experiencing an issue keeping the game from working, but it is aware of the issue and working on it.
In the case of the concerts, the horsegirls in Umamusume: Pretty Derby act as idols in addition to racers, so these hint at that other side of the characters’ natures. “Winning the Soul” is a winning concert song. Its sample video is the shorter of the two and only lasts 45 seconds.
The other winning concert video is longer and offers a better example of what a performance from the characters looks like. “Make Debut” lasts over two minutes.
As for the latest character trailers, they offer voice actress examples and game footage samples again. First, here’s the Super Creek one. She’s not associated with any particular team, though she’s known for being close to Narita Taishin and Oguri Cap.
Mayano Top Gun also isn’t associated with any particular team, though she is known to be close to Tokai Teio. Also, due to her name, she was used as part of the promotions for Top Gun: Maverick in Japan.
Gold Ship is the most famous character from the batch of the three most recent trailers. She’s part of Team Spica alongside Special Week, Silence Shizuka, Meijiro McQueen, and Tokai Teio. She is also known for hosting Paka Tube.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby preload is available so people can download the game ahead of its official PC, Android, and Apple iOS debut on June 26, 2025. Cygames will appear at Anime Expo 2025 in July 2025 with the game.
